Icy Phoot-shoot

I'm incredibly thankful that I was asked to be a part of this amazing photo shoot a couple weeks ago at Belle Haven in Scottsville, Virginia, right off the James River.  First of all, it was styled by a new, sweet, friend that I met  this Summer while at the Amy Osaba's workshop in Atlanta that was basically a series of me peeing in my pants out of excitement for 3 days straight.  Cody Granis  was the sweetest fellow Virginian and graciously encouraged me the entire time I was there and continues to support me by asking me to do awesome photo shoots with her like this one!  She owns Amore Events in Charlottesville and is one incredibly talented lady.   She found our smokin' models and put together an amazing team of vendors.

One of those vendors is Rachel, of Rachel May Photography and let me just say that she makes everything look like a million bucks.  You'll be singing her praises right along with me in five hot seconds when I stop rambling and you get to see her amazing work.

The icy color palette was refreshing and the unique boutonnieres made of laurels and wreaths are unlike anything I've seen or done before.  I have my fingers crossed that this will become a new trend (trademarking the beginning of this being a trend right now, ahem, mark it down people, we claimed it).  And I loved all the texture in the flowers with the use of the privet berries, citrus, silver brunia, and company.

A full list of all the wonderful vendors involved are detailed at the bottom so don't forget to check them out and enjoy!

Shout out to Stacy, our groom model, who helped me carry in flowers before the shoot began. He didn't know his polite offer to help would be jumped at so quickly. So thanks again, Stacy!  He's wearing the wild olive wreath boutonniere.

I love the privet berry and wild olive wrapped in ribbon that's placed on each menu.  Such a sweet detail.
